Hi Everyone,
To all of you who came to the sale, thanks for making our sale such a success! We got rid of tons of stuff and are now ready to purchase lots of beautiful spring yarns. We already have lots of Rowan in and also some cotton from Cascade, but we will be on the prowl for some great unusual things.
We will be shooting a commercial tomorrow night for our Bag O' Bones kit and we will definitely let everyone know when the commercial will be done. Hopefully the middle of next week. We have the kits ready now and they are soo cute. They make a great gift.
We have yarn dyeing tomorrow from 12-2pm. Don't miss out on dyeing your own yarn to make that one of a kind piece. Price of yarn includes the workshop.

I think Lisi is having way too much fun writing this blog by herself. So it is my turn to tell you that we are having a BIG SALE beginning tomorrow. Our storage room was just too full to handle the new spring yarn we have started to get in so we worked all day and emptied it so that you can get 25 to 40% off on most of our winter stock. Many, many yarns are 40% off including some from Debbie Bliss, GGH, Filatura, Meunich, Online and more. We have of lots of Rowan winter yarns at 25% off, and, in a moment of weakness, we marked all the fabulous PRISM yarn at 25% off. Frankly, I think we got carried away. But I'm new at this so what do I know?
Anyway, the sale lasts through next Wednesday, but the yarn probably won't. So I guess we will see you soon.
By the way, I am working on a Spring cotton version of the Faux-ragamo bag, using Clip and Rowan Cotton Braid. Some time I would like to post a photo gallery of everyone's version of the bag; so many of you have gotten the kit and put you own spin on it. Don't forget to bring them in and show us the finished product. --Randy

We have some great new classes coming in April.
Here are a few :
Spinning-Did you ever want to use a spinning wheel? or have you used one but needed to brush up? Well Stitch Cafe is the only place in LA that you can have the chance. John Pitblado our favorite spinning teacher will be having a class at the beginning of the month. Wheels provided.
Create your own sweater-using a software program here at the store that will let all your inspirations and ideas come true. Just plug in the info and the program does the rest. We will be doing this class for free as long as you purchase your yarn at the store. You will also receive a pattern that you can take home.
Spring Yarn Sampler- Stitch Cafe will have a full array of Spring/Summer yarns that you can try. For $10 you can come and make a swatch of at least 15 different yarns. Get a feel for each one without having to buy a ball.
Freeform Knitting- This class will be taught by Myra Wood our favorite freeform teacher. This class will teach you the techniques to make a freeform piece using different knitting techniques.
Yarn Around- Is your closet stuffed with so much yarn, but no of it turns you on? Well you can come to the yarn exchange and bring some yarn & take some yarn. You must bring your yarn labeled and in a baggy with your name on it. Must weight at least 15 grams. *Please no Joanne or Michaels yarn.
Check the Stitch Cafe schedule of classes for exact times and dates. Hope to see you there.
So much happening so little time. I have found it really good to spend more time with my family and friends lately. I miss seeing a lot of my customers, but I am still here every morning and pretty much every weekend. Lisi

I thought I would be able to post everyday, but of course with my crazy schedule it has been a few days. Just wanted to let everyone know that we got in the new Spring Vogue Knitting. Really cute summer patterns. Heavy lace influence!
The Bag O' Bones kits are coming along good and as soon as we get the yarn in we will be putting the kits together.
Sometimes there are businesses that I go into and frequent because they give me good service consistently. I would like to mention one that I would recommend. The Cozy Toes Nail Salon is where I have been going to get manicures and pedicures for the last year and a half and I always get a great mani/pedi that lasts great. They are in Sherman Oaks on Ventura Blvd. Always very friendly and very clean.
I am so happy to also mention that we have a new sign in the front of the store. It is finally up after 4 months of planning. But hey Rome wasn't built in a day. Come check it out. I think it looks really great.
Spinning class was moved to this Sunday from 2-5. Don't miss this once a month opportunity to learn how to spin on a drop spindle or a spinning wheel. John Pitblado is one of the best teachers I know. Call the store to sign up at 818-980-1234.
